Kevin's Bio
Kevin Who?
Anyone who knows Kevin would describe him as "sweet, kind, funny, and just a really nice guy." He is a compulsive do-gooder with a soft, squishy place in his heart for kids. As most of us do, Kevin tries to live a balanced, peaceful, and simple life. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. We all know that no one is perfect so if you need a hand with with a household repair call someone else! Kevin would much rather "help" you fix the toilet by doing a comedy routine for you outside of the bathroom door!
Details
Kevin was born and raised in Cleveland and his mom knew that broadcasting was in his blood when, at the age of six, she found him creating his own "radio shows" (Dick Clark style) using a soup strainer for a microphone. The rest, shall we say, is DJ history.
Throughout his career Kevin has worked at a variety of stations including those in Cleveland, Akron, and Oberlin, Ohio as well as in South Bend, Indiana and Houston, Texas. At one point he was offered an attractive job at New York's premiere oldies station WCBS-FM, an offer he greatly appreciated yet declined as he had little interest in becoming a New Yorker. As fate would have it, years later Kevin made it full circle back to the midwest and to the Detroit area that he loves so much. Becoming a part of the WNIC family on Labor Day weekend of 2004 was the right thing to do. Perhaps destiny is what brought him here. After all, Kevin is "a really NICe guy!"

Defining Moments
Kevin's life would be changed forever.......twice. On August 19, 1982 his son Brendan was born. Today Brendan is a successful executive living in Chicago and remains the light of his dad's life.
On June 11, 2007 a quintuple bypass would save Kevin's life. Surgery..........Successful Recovery.......Good and getting better each day 2nd Chance...Priceless!
Something Else to Know
Aside from bringing music into listeners' homes and vehicles, Kevin is quite the "listener" himself. He has an extensive collection of 45 rpm records and 33 1/3 albums whose artists range from Tony Bennett to Hank Ballard & the Midnighters along with CD's from Patsy Cline to Ne-yo. All of the music is neatly arranged and filed alphabetically. Neat freak? Hmmm, perhaps.
(By the way, he does own a toolbox. It's buried somewhere underneath the collection of 45's!)
Some Favorite Things
Good friends, No-fat frozen yogurt, Carole King and her music, Sandra Bullock and her movies, his alma mater University of Notre Dame, and concerts with as many original group members as possible. Herman's Hermits WITH Peter Noone? A hat trick!
